About BCSE:
Established in 1992, BCSE is a coalition of companies and trade associations championing the use of commercially available clean energy technologies. United around the goal of revitalizing the economy and creating a secure, inclusive, and sustainable energy future for America, BCSE is at the forefront of shaping policies that matter.

The Fellowship Position:
Named after Jan Schori, the fellowship offers a chance to assist BCSE staff in policy research, communications, and event coordination. If you have a keen interest in business, sustainability, energy, environment, or communications, and relevant academic or internship experience, this opportunity is tailored for you.

Key Details:

• Location: Washington, DC
• Duration: 6-8 weeks (June to mid-August)
• Hours: 20-25 hours per week
• Stipend: A small stipend will be provided

What You’ll Gain:
As a summer fellow, you’ll delve into:

• Researching current energy and climate change legislation to support BCSE advocacy.
• Understanding the operations of a trade association, from data management to external communications and policy advocacy.
• Collaborating with a small, experienced BCSE team.
• Observing and interacting with leading government relations executives in BCSE sectors.

About Jan Schori:
The fellowship, established in 2008, honors Jan Schori, former General Manager and CEO of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). Ms. Schori’s legacy includes a strong reputation for renewable energy and energy efficiency programs, earning SMUD the national number one ranking in commercial customer satisfaction.
